Considerations for Planting

What to plant

... depends on what you need (medicinal) or what you want to eat... it’s that simple

In an aquaponics system, the plants have a longer shelf-life, shorter grow time (than traditional methods), and require only 20% of the water normally used to irrigate when planted in soil.

Additionally, because the plants are off the ground, there are no issues with common garden pests.

There are long-term plants -- those with deeper roots like kalo, tomatoes, squash that will typically grow in a cinder bed.  The short-term plants like greens, lettuce, cabbage, herbs and spices grow well in a raft system.

We will educate and advise you based on your needs.
